As a family business, people are at the heart of our values, be that our own valued staff, or the customers we serve. Honesty, openness and respect are key to our relationships and are key to our staff satisfaction. We work as teams both within the business and outside to deliver our results, continually improve and challenge ourselves in order to deliver our great quality, innovative and delicious products. We all believe in building long lasting relationships, in order to drive our future growth and success.
We’re always evolving, so not knowing what we’re going to create next or our next venture is exciting. Training our people is at the heart of what we do and if you have a passion for great food, and would like to be part of a team that has innovation at its core, we’d love to hear from you!
“Joined the bakery September ’17 and couldn’t believe how quickly the factory was up and running. I enjoy running the laundry and working with a great team including management who are always there to help.”
“Having joined the company in October ’17, I have undergone various training, my responsibilities have grown and management are supportive. My role is very rewarding and I am excited to be apart of David Wood Foods and its future.”
“I started working for DWF in Jan 2016. Since then the company has developed me through many courses including Level 3 in teaching, HACCP and food safety, IOSH, and I have become an instructor in both manual handling and first aid. The company has pushed my strengths forward to a point where I am now training at other sites with DWF.“
HR / Safety / Training Manager
I started working here in Oct 2015 as an operative in production. Since then I have developed to become a team leader running one of the lines. I have had lots of training to develop further and am now pushing hard to become a supervisor. I feel the company looks after me well and I am treated fairly and respectfully. The pay is also good for the job I do.
I have been a production operative within the company for a few months and I really enjoy my work here. It is varied and you feel part of a team. I also like how the company gives us free food, free health surveys and even discounted bus fares and I have already gained a qualification in food safety through our training department.
I joined here in 2015 as a Hygiene Operative, 2 years in and I’m now the Site Administrator… the management saw my potential, and gave me the confidence and belief that I was capable of so much more. It’s one of the many great attributes this company has: the ability to spot budding individuals and develop them, offering support and guidance throughout.
We’re a fast growing family company, at the forefront of innovation and always working on our next big opportunity to develop. We have huge diversity, from our sales and marketing team, artisan bakers and chefs to our highly skilled engineers and operatives, we’re a team that’s always growing and expanding!
