David Wood Foods is a leading food manufacturing company with over 20 years’ experience in the bakery business.
We currently produce a range of quality frozen ‘bake off’ and craft bakery products encompassing Savoury Pastry, Sweet Pastry, Bread, Morning Goods and Confectionery products from seven cutting-edge bakeries around the UK.

About The Role

To ensure that all training events are aligned to the overall business plan. That all identified training activity is planned, executed and evaluated. The role is a combination of a hands-on approach whilst having the ability to plan and organise activities to the year ahead and beyond.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Undertake delivery of induction training for new starters and provide refresher training as required

Complete H&S training for all staff

Maintain and update all training sign off sheets for compliance, legislation, customer requirements and audit

Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is followed at all times

Communicate changes to procedures to all relevant employees

Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and employee handbook procedures and practices

Support the HR department with any internal and external audits

Adherence to company procedures as well as supporting legal and ethical requirement

Ensure training targets are being met and maintained

Lead in-house training

Liaise with department managers to analyse, identify and develop staff training needs

Deliver training to the appropriate standards/SOPs

Experience of training ideally within a manufacturing environment

Experience of delivering training programmes eg Inductions, Food Safety, Health and Safety etc

Understanding of site hygiene, technical, QA and H&S requirements.

Computer knowledge required

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to speak multiple languages would be advantageous
