About The Role

Engineers storekeeper/ handyman

Hours of work: 5 days over 7 – some flexibility will be required.
Rate of Pay: Negotiable dependant on experience

About us: At David Wood Baking we have over 20 years’ experience in the bakery business, and if one thing is clear about our company it’s that we’re passionate about baking.We currently produce a range of quality frozen ‘bake off’ and craft bakery products encompassing Savoury Pastry, Sweet Pastry, Bread, Morning Goods and Confectionery products from six cutting-edge bakeries around the UK. Due to continued growth, we have an opening within our engineering team, for an Engineering store keeper/handyman.

About the role:
Duties will include, but may not be limited to maintenance repairs throughout the site, plumbing, door hanging, painting, ongoing building maintenance, stock Inventory, completing daily maintenance checklists etc. The main part of this role is that of engineering storekeeper, responsible for stock replenishment, stock control, checking prices and availability and accountability for parts removed and used and the implementation of a critical spares list.
You will ensure that the work is done to a high standard and in a clean and organised way throughout. You will be organised and methodical. You will have regular communication with our Engineering Manager regarding the status of your jobs whilst scheduling your jobs in order of priority and ensuring our requirements of materials is met.

  • Experience working within a food manufacturing environment would be preferable
